THE BEGINNING OF LIFE

Negreanu's story begins in 1974, the son of Romanian immigrants, Daniel has as his second language the Romanian language. Negreanu's family was looking for a new life in the United States, but ended up taking root in Toronto, Canada. The young Negreanu at the time used to be very ambitious, and confirmed this with the following statement, in the year 2009: "Since I was four years old, I thought I would be rich. I told my mother that I would build a house with popsicle sticks and move to California ".

But Negreanu's student life was difficult. A public school student in the north of York, Pineway Public School, Negreanu used to be very cautious in his actions. His mother, Annie, received constant complaints from the school principal, claiming that Daniel had "bad manners and behaviors". After that, the principal threatened to expel the young man for "ignoring school rules". Meanwhile, Negreanu dreamed of being a professional snooker player, so at the age of 15 Negreanu ended up learning how to play poker. Since then, Negreanu has started dividing his time between snooker, sports betting and poker.

Shortly before graduating, Negreanu ended up dropping out of high school and devoted his life to playing in local casinos, with an emphasis on Casino Country and Fundtime Games. In addition, Negreanu also spent time looking for illegal games in his city. However, at the age of 22, Daniel decided to go to Las Vegas and persist in his dream of becoming a professional poker player. However, Negreanu ended up spending a good deal of his money and went back to Toronto.

The young Canadian was willing to try again and persist in his dream. As such, Negreanu started to gain great notoriety in the poker world. In 1998, Negreanu won his first World Series of Poker, along with his first bracelet, taking home the amount of $ 169,460 in the $ 2,000 Pot Limit Hold'em. This achievement made Negreanu go down in history as the youngest player to have won a bracelet at the WSOP, a record that only Scott Fischman managed to break in 2004. After that, Negreanu took five more bracelets home and accumulated 36 final tables at the WSOP.

Negreanu's whole life story and persistence has led him to become one of the most successful poker players in history. In total, Negreanu has more than $ 42 million in profits, just from his professional poker career.
